DODGE.IO
Drag your ship through an endless barrage of bullets, seekers, lasers, waves, spirals and more. The longer you last, the faster and stranger it gets. One hit ends the run unless a Shield saves you.
How to Play
Put a finger anywhere on the screen and drag. Your ship follows your finger's movement, not its exact position, so you never cover the ship with your own hand. On touch screens the ship sits a little above your fingertip for the same reason. On a computer, the ship follows the mouse while you hold the button.
Threats spawn from the edges and from inside the arena. Every 20 to 45 seconds a new type unlocks, until all eight are in play at three minutes and forty seconds. There are no levels and no checkpoints; it's one continuous run that keeps getting harder.

Scoring and Near Misses
- Survival: your score ticks up constantly, and it ticks faster as the difficulty rises.
- Near misses: letting a threat pass inside the danger zone around your ship without touching it scores a near miss. Staying close to a threat keeps paying near misses.
- Streaks: near misses chained within about two seconds build a streak. Each step adds bonus points and raises your score multiplier, so a long streak makes every second of survival worth more. A hit never counts as a near miss.
The Best Opening: Ride a Bullet
Near misses multiply fast, and early in a run they're worth far more than survival time. The strongest way to start is to farm them from one slow, predictable threat:
- In the first seconds, find a small pink Bullet crossing the screen vertically, top to bottom or bottom to top.
- Move in beside it, with a gap no wider than your ship, and match its speed so the gap stays the same. Don't drift toward it.
- Ride it across the screen. When it leaves, pick up the next one before two seconds pass, or your streak resets.
Why it works: a threat that stays inside your near-miss zone without getting closer pays a near miss about six times a second. Each one adds to your streak, and from a streak of 10 every near miss is worth 50 points, about 300 points a second. Ride well and you can start a run with 5,000 points before the harder threats arrive. The streak counter at the top right shows it working.
Power-ups
About every ten seconds a lettered power-up appears in the arena. Fly into it to collect it. Power-ups last about five seconds and flash before they expire.
- S · Shield: absorbs one hit. When it breaks, it knocks nearby threats away from you.
- T · Time Slow: slows every threat on screen to well under half speed. Your ship keeps its normal speed.
- M · Mini: shrinks your ship, making gaps easier to slip through.
Threat Guide
DODGE.IO unlocks threats in a fixed order. Once a type is unlocked, it can appear at any time for the rest of the run.
| Threat | Appears | What it does | How to handle it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bullets | From 0:00 | Fly in a straight line across the arena. | Predictable. Move early and smoothly rather than at the last moment. |
| Seekers | From 0:20 | Accelerate toward your ship and steer after you, up to a speed limit. They burn out after a while. | Lead them into a wide turn. Seekers overshoot when you change direction sharply. |
| Waves | From 0:45 | Travel in a sine wave, weaving side to side as they cross the screen. | Watch the whole path, not the dot. Pass through where the wave is heading away from you. |
| Spirals | From 1:10 | Circle around a moving center, spiraling wider as they go. | Give the center a wide berth; the outer edge keeps growing. |
| Splitters | From 1:40 | Travel for a moment, then burst into a ring of bullets. | Get some distance before the burst so the bullets spread out before they reach you. |
| Bombers | From 2:15 | Drift slowly, then explode into a dense ring of fast bullets with a screen shake. | The explosion is on a timer. Stay far from a Bomber late in its life. |
| Teleporters | From 2:55 | Blink to new positions, materialize, then charge straight at you. They can't hurt you while materializing. | Watch where one reappears and sidestep its charge, since it commits to a straight line. |
| Lasers | From 3:40 | A thin line charges up, then fires a wide beam across the arena. | The thin charge line shows exactly where the beam will be. Leave that lane immediately. |
Tips for Longer Runs
- Small movements. Most deaths come from overcorrecting, not from standing still.
- Stay near the middle when you can. It leaves room to escape in every direction.
- Build streaks on purpose. Riding a bullet early (see The Best Opening) raises your multiplier for the dangerous part of the run.
- Grab Time Slow when the screen is full, not when it's empty.
- A Shield breaking pushes threats away. If you're cornered with a Shield, the hit can open an escape route.
- Learn the unlock times. When a new threat type is about to arrive, clear yourself some space.
